1. Who we are

SkyFinder is provided by Codevty (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how the SkyFinder mobile app and this website handle information.

2. Information the app uses

SkyFinder may ask for access to the following device capabilities so its core features can work:

• Precise location: used to calculate where celestial objects appear from your current position and to correct magnetic heading to true north.
• Camera: used to show the live sky view and guidance overlay. SkyFinder does not record or upload photos or video.
• Motion and orientation sensors: used to determine which direction the phone is pointing and guide you toward a selected object.
• Local app data: preferences such as language, theme, and onboarding state may be stored on your device.

These inputs are processed on your device for the app’s sky-finding features. SkyFinder does not require you to create an account.

3. Information we collect

The current version of SkyFinder does not include advertising, third-party analytics, account registration, or cloud syncing. We do not sell personal information.

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. We use it only to respond, provide support, and improve SkyFinder.

4. This website

This static website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics, or advertising. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process limited technical request data such as IP address, browser information, and security signals to deliver and protect the site under its own privacy terms.

5. Permissions and your choices

You can deny or revoke camera and location permissions in your device settings. Core camera guidance may not work without them. You can clear locally stored app data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.

6. Data retention and security

Sky calculations, location readings, camera imagery, and motion readings are not retained by us. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to address the request, maintain appropriate business records, and meet legal obligations.

7. Children’s privacy

SkyFinder is a general-audience astronomy utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date above.
